QR ordering vs waiter ordering

QR is self-service capture. It helps when the floor is the bottleneck: cafe linger tables, QSR hybrids, late drink rounds, or a dining room that cannot staff another pad at 8:30. It does not replace hospitality in a tasting-menu room if your brand is tableside. Use both: waiter for the first round and fire, QR for add-ons.

Limits (be honest with guests)

Guests still need a working phone, camera, and data. A dead battery is not a POS failure — it is a waiter fallback.
Complex allergies are safer with a human if the menu cannot force the right modifier.
QR is not a delivery aggregator. Channel tablets are a different ticket source.
QR payments (UPI/wallet at the table) are not the same as QR menu ordering. Confirm which you mean on a demo.

Tickets should land in the same POS and kitchen display as staff-entered orders. If they do not, you have two restaurants.
